This week Mr James has been delivering a heath message to all the children in KS2 about sugar content in drinks and food. Even some of the teachers didn't realize how much sugar there was in a can of coke!!! Think before you drink!!!

In year 5 this week they had some unusual visitors (the Anglo Saxons!). To celebrate their topic, Mrs Thornton organised a special workshop in which the children got to experience what it was like to live in the Anglo Saxon era!

This week we celebrated the achievements of both the children and the school in our Sport Assembly. Our special guest, Vicky Dean, came and presented the school with a Silver Award for school sports for the last academic year. This year we are aiming for Gold! We can do it!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! This week, we welcomed the children back to school and celebrated Epiphany with a service in school. Pupil Chaplains from year 6 played the crucial role of Mary and Joseph and each class had the chance to visit the rainbow room and ask the actors about how they felt when the Kings visited Jesus. The children also brought in baby gifts for the Women and baby unit and the Chaplains, along with Mrs Mchale will be delivering the welcomed gifts in the next few weeks.
